About the Spa

Reservations

Evensong Spa is open daily. To make your appointment or for hours of operation, call 920.294.3347 or 800.444.2812. It is recommended that you make spa reservations several days in advance. If you have a perference of male or female provider, please let us know at the time of reservation. A credit card is required at the time of reservation.

Evensong Spa Access

Weekday access to Evensong Spa facilities is waived with any 80 minute service or two services per guest per day. This includes the meditation labyrinth,waterfall whirlpools, steam rooms, luxury relaxation room, shower facilities and Spa Café. Weekend access to facilities is available only with the purchase of a service. Heidel House Guests: $15 l General Public: $25

Spa Check-In

We encourage you to arrive one hour prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows time to change into spa wear, complete our Evensong Labyrinth Ritual and unwind in the relaxation room. Please note that late arrivals will have their treatment end at the original scheduled time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full spa treatment charge will be applied.

Cancellation Policy

If you must reschedule or cancel an appointment, please alert our reception desk 48 hours in advance. No-shows and cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice will be charged full price for all scheduled services.

Special Concerns

Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire regarding any special concerns or needs you may have during your visit. Please be sure to share any special conditions such as pregnancy, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart ailments, Retin A skin product usage or any other health-related conditions.

For Your Comfort

A robe and slippers will be provided for your convenience. We suggest you undress to your level of comfort and encourage you to communicate any concerns in advance of your service. Please be assured that all of our professional service providers are highly trained and you will be properly draped throughout your spa treatments.

Personal Belongings

You will be provided with a locker for storing personal belongings. Please remove jewelry and other valuables prior to your spa visit, as we cannot be responsible for lost personal items.

Mobile Phone Policy

To ensure privacy and tranquility for all guests, mobile devices should be turned off prior to entering the locker room. Mobile phone usage is not permitted in the spa.

Age Requirements & Co-Ed Policy

Guests must be 18 years or older to access spa facilities and receive services. Please contact our front desk for more details. We are considered a European style spa, which means our locker rooms and amenities are not co-ed. Our relaxation room, spa café and labyrinth are co-ed.

Service Charge

For your convenience, a 20% service charge will be added at time of checkout. You may adjust this service charge based on your satisfaction with your experience.

Facilities

Your perfect spa vacation in Wisconsin awaits at Evensong Spa. Evensong was constructed in 2006 and opened in September of that year, across the street from Heidel House Resort in Green Lake. It has added to the vacation experience of resort guests, providing a variety of services, a tranquil setting and relaxing amenities. Evensong Spa has an exterior inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and an interior designed of deluxe surfaces and beautiful furnishings.

  • Labyrinth Ritual

    Labyrinth Ritual

    Particularly impressive and unique about Evensong is the stunning circular maze-pattern created out of slate inspired Sant’Agostino floor tiles. The labyrinth, which is a single circular path that has been used for centuries as a tool for personal, psychological and spiritual transformation, is the key indoor focal feature. At its most basic level, the labyrinth is a metaphor for the journey to the center of your deepest self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who you are.
     
    All guests are encouraged to partake in the labyrinth ritual prior to their service. This self-guided walk will prepare your mind before your spa treatments and assist you in the relaxation process. Generally there are three stages to the walk: releasing on the way in, receiving in the center and returning; that is, taking back out into the world that which you have received. Upon completion of the labyrinth walk, guests can continue their peace and quiet in the relaxation room. It is here they will be greeted by their Evensong service provider.
     
     
  • Labyrinth Lore

    Labyrinth Lore

    Classical labyrinth designs are based on a pattern first documented on a clay tablet from Pylos, Greece circa 1200 BCE. Designs have also been found on Cretan coins of 400 to 500 BCE. Labyrinths were common in Europe in the Middle Ages, and walking them was part of popular and religious culture.
     
    Evensong’s labyrinth is a slate tile floor bordered with a washed river stones edging. Three skylights bathe the area in natural light and floor-to-ceiling windows enhance the environment. It is a medieval design with eleven circuits, the eleven circles that must be walked to reach the center, and is the most elaborate of labyrinth patterns.  
     
    The labyrinth is not a maze. There are no tricks to it and no dead ends. It has a single circuitous path that winds into the center. With a labyrinth there is only one choice to be made: the choice to enter or not.

The Spa Café offers a healthy variety of entrees created by the Heidel House Executive Chef. Stunningly furnished and including 12-foot windows overlooking the beautiful Tuscumbia Country Club, the Evensong Spa Café is one-of-a-kind among spa resorts in Wisconsin. It is available to spa guests only and serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

Pre-orders are encouraged and may be made at the time of reservation. If ordering upon arrival, please allow 30 minutes from the time you pre-order your meal, to the time you would like to enjoy your spa healthy cuisine. In an effort to make your spa experience as seamless as possible, an 18% service charge will be automatically added.
